Airef Services was established in the town of East London in January 1995 as a specialist maintenance company in the air conditioning and ventilation industry targeting the corporate, commercial, retail and industrial business and property market.
The strategy of the company was to establish itself in the smaller regional towns where it stood to rapidly grow market share by providing quality professional services in its field of expertise.
The goal of the company remains to cement itself as a leading service providing expertise in the air conditioning and ventilation field to its target market in turn providing for the long term profitable future of the company.
Since the opening of the East London branch a further branch at the request of the property management team of Absa Bank at the time was established in Nelspruit in 2001.
A third branch representation was opened in the town of Mthatha in 2012.
Our company further has experience in the management of shopping centres HVAC systems involved currently at the Nonesi Mall Queenstown and Riverside Mall Nelspruit amongst others.
We currently are the sole service providers based in the East London / Transkei area for Edcon Stores, Game Stores, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Absa Bank, First National Bank, Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals and in many cases work through major national facility management companies or property funds such as Broll Properties Management, Redefine, and Growthpoint, Old Mutual Properties division, Tsebo Facilities Solutions and such.
The East London offices employs one managing director, one service manager, one contracts manager, four admin staff, seven technical teams, two installation teams and assistant semi-skilled labour. Overall the group employs two managing directors, two service managers, one contracts manager, an admin staff consisting of 7 persons, fourteen technical teams, four installation teams and necessary semi-skilled assistant labour.
The company strives to adhere to best practice in the industry and is abreast to required legislation within the industry. The company boasts considerable experience specific to the service and maintenance industry with over a 100 year’s combined experience in the air conditioning service and maintenance field being held by the two managing directors and service managers alone.
